Week 10 : EDU456

Image
\      I was a student towards the end of semester 2 unconsciously. From the first to the tenth week of this course, EDU456, I learned a lot. These innovative teaching and learning technology have improved my life. Let me go over what I've learned in the last 10 weeks. I was exposed to an introduction to this course during the first week. I was already looking forward to exploring this subject with my peers when the lecturer presented it. When the lecturer explained the objectives of this course, assigned different course assignments, and explained the assignments that must be completed during the semester, I was motivated to finish them all well and in a timely manner. The lecturer's way of delivery also expanded my eyes and encouraged me to keep searching for knowledge. I've been introduced to ADDIE in the second week. I heard this term for the first time in my life. In today's classrooms, the term "ADDIE" stands for Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, an

The Flipped Classroom

Image
What is the flipped classroom?      A flipped classroom is a mixed learning system in which students learn the subject at home and practise at school. This is the opposite of the more frequent approach of teaching the new subject in school and of assigning homework and projects for individual students at home.  Face-to-face engagement is combined with individual study–usually through technology–in this blended learning strategy. In a typical Flipped Classroom situation, students may watch pre-recorded videos at home before coming to school with questions and at least some background information to do homework.  The flipped classroom notion is to rethink when students have access to the materials they require the most. If the question is, rather than being introduced to the new thought behind the task, students need support, then the solution the twisting lesson takes is to reverse it.      The major goal of a flipped classroom is to promote the learning and achievement of students thro

Presentation Tools.

SLIDE PRESENTATION        Hello everyone, Today I'd like to talk about what I learned in this week's EDU456 lesson.  It is about presentation tools. I'd like to talk about one of these presenting tools that have piqued my interest, Prezi. This is an example of a Prezi slide presentation I created. Please remember to click on the image, and thank you.    What Is Prezi?            Prezi is a presentation tool well recognised for its zoom navigation and slides less design. The key idea behind using Prezi to create a presentation is that all sections are linked and the presenter may fluidly zoom and navigate between them. This presentation style is exclusive to Prezi, and it is their way of distinguishing themselves from PowerPoint. Even while the zooming feature appears to be a difficult concept, its ease of use is amazing, especially when using a template.            ADVANTAGES :     The  zoom and overview feature is Prezi's initial advantage. The major menu slide is pres

How Can I Survived With Online Classes?

Image
Hello, I'm back. If anyone has forgotten who I am, please allow me to reintroduce myself. My name is Afiqah, and I am a student at UiTM Pucak Alam. For today's blog post, I'd want to share some of my self-reflection while I study this subject via open distance learning. Seven weeks have passed unconsciously and it feels like I just learnt to recognise this EDU456 yesterday. In fact, writing this blog is one of the EDU456 E-Portfolio assignments. On the day of the class, the lecturer will assign an assignment each week to publish. Writing this blog can increase my enthusiasm because it is a new technique for me to complete the task assigned by lecturers. I never feel stressed every week because of my interest in writing anything. On this platform, I enjoy learning new things, sharing my thoughts and expressing my ideas. I am grateful to live in a time when technology is at its pinnacle. Although the country was plagued by a covid-19 pandemic, this did not preve

Innovative Technological Tool.

In the twenty-first century, all information is available at the touch of a button. We can obviously see that the current learning is completely online because Covid-19 stunned the entire world. Thus, it is vital to use learning tools to make learning more successful.       Have you ever seen something like this? This is called Quizziz, and it is a popular platform that students and teachers use to study or deepen their knowledge of the content offered. The Quizziz is a tool for online evaluation that may be used and created by teachers and students. A quiz may be submitted live as a timed competition or for homework with a defined time limit after providing a unique access code for students. Students can evaluate their answers after completing the quizzes.               Quizziz has a really simple look and the site is good at helping you to step by step so that the user doesn't get overwhelmed. It is also incredibly intuitive to do the quiz oneself. Upon entering the access

Animation Video

Image
What is animation?      Animation is a fast presentation of the order of 2-D art pictures or model locations to give motion illusion. Animation is a form of optical illusion of movement due to the occurrence of visual continuity and can be manufactured and demonstrated in several ways. The most popular approach to exhibit animated works is through a movie or video programme, but there are other options.     This week in EDU456, I learned how to construct a great presentation slide as well as how to produce an animated video in PowerPoint. This is an animated video that I created with success:      Isn't it fascinating? Animation, in my opinion, can help students participate in learning because students are easily attracted to studying using new methods. This is due to the fact that by utilising various colour and audio combinations, students will not easily lose focus while receiving the information presented. The usage of animation also enables students to understand what has to
