Purpose

The purpose of this course is to familiarize the student with cell structure, the processes happen in and between the cell and the cellular mechanisms.

Course Content

CHAPTER:

Chapter 1: Introduction of Cell Biology

Chapter 2: Biological Membranes

Chapter 3: Cell Communication

Chapter 4: Cell Cycle

Chapter 5: Regulation of Cell Cycle

 

At the end of this course student should be able:

i)                   Specify the characteristic of cells

ii)                 Define and explain the characteristics of membrane

iii)               Identify cellular processes involving the electron carrier system.

iv)               Explain each type of cell cycle.

v)                  Explain the regulatory mechanism and genes involved in the cell cycle control

Technology

GOOGLE MEET

i)                   Create a class with students directly using Google Meet to enable a two-way conversation in the classroom.

 

-          Record the class held on the day so that students can review the lesson.

 

GOOGLE FORM

i)                   Create tests using Google Form because students and teachers are easy to use.

Assessment

TEST

 

i)                   The lecturer will conduct a test a week after it to monitor student's performance  

ii)                 Lecturer analyses if there is improvement in student's understanding.

 

GOOGLE MEET

i)                   The lecturer will give feedback and point out the mistakes made by the students during a quiz.

ii)                 Both student and lecturer discuss how to improve understanding of the topic.

 

 QUIZZIZ

 

i)                   The mini-quiz will be conducted at the end of each topic to ensure student's comprehension regarding the topic
