Presentation Tools.

SLIDE PRESENTATION

Hello everyone, Today I'd like to talk about what I learned in this week's EDU456 lesson.  It is about presentation tools. I'd like to talk about one of these presenting tools that have piqued my interest, Prezi. This is an example of a Prezi slide presentation I created. Please remember to click on the image, and thank you.

What Is Prezi?

Prezi is a presentation tool well recognised for its zoom navigation and slides less design. The key idea behind using Prezi to create a presentation is that all sections are linked and the presenter may fluidly zoom and navigate between them. This presentation style is exclusive to Prezi, and it is their way of distinguishing themselves from PowerPoint. Even while the zooming feature appears to be a difficult concept, its ease of use is amazing, especially when using a template.

ADVANTAGES :

The zoom and overview feature is Prezi's initial advantage. The major menu slide is present and can be navigated at all times by the presenter or viewer. This Prezi benefit is especially beneficial for presentation creators who are tired of the conventional method. The broad list of integrations represents Prezi's second advantage. Prezi can also link to other applications such as Slack, Zoom and Google Meet. These integrations facilitate the communication and presentation of Prezi projects to teams and employees. Prezi software's third benefit is its inexpensive cost. The free edition is perfect for students who have no too much fanfare for their projects. The paid program begins at $3 per month.

DISADVANTAGES:

Surprisingly, Prezi's first advantage is actually a disadvantage. Some can be a little overwhelming by the frequent zoom-in and out movement. Further, if you don't know how to utilise these capabilities, a Prezi presentation shared on its own can be unclear. For the creator, the zooming navigation might also be easy to go overboard. It can be tough to present cohesively if the slides and sections are not ordered and easy to follow. The second downside of Prezi is that presentations must be watched over the internet if utilising the free or lower-tier versions. Slow internet connections can make navigating a Prezi nearly hard. Offline access is available only with premium subscriptions. Although Prezi has certain chart and graph options, they are not entirely adjustable or modifiable for a more personalised look and feel. Prezi did offer a new function called Prezi Design to improve data visualisation customization, but it is still limited in comparison to other solutions.

THE DISADVANTAGES OF PREZI COMPARED TO POWERPOINT :

When compared to PowerPoint, the downside of Prezi is that it can only be accessed if it is connected to the internet. If this is the case, not everyone can afford to use it because some users reside in remote areas with a poor internet connection. If the user insists on using Prezi offline, he or she must subscribe to the given subscription. PowerPoint, on the other hand, maybe used anywhere, even without connection to the internet, on a PC or laptop. This makes preparing a slide presentation easier and saves money and time. Furthermore, Prezi only gives a fixed slide form template that cannot be altered. It is merely spherical in shape. When compared to PowerPoint, PowerPoint can create presentations with a variety of shapes based on the user's imagination. Lastly, it will be slow to prepare if you are using Prezi because your internet connection is disconnected, and you are not allowed to use it until your Internet connection is reconnected successfully, while PowerPoint users may continue to produce their slides even if the internet connection is disconnected.
