The Flipped Classroom

What is the flipped classroom?

A flipped classroom is a mixed learning system in which students learn the subject at home and practise at school. This is the opposite of the more frequent approach of teaching the new subject in school and of assigning homework and projects for individual students at home. Face-to-face engagement is combined with individual study–usually through technology–in this blended learning strategy. In a typical Flipped Classroom situation, students may watch pre-recorded videos at home before coming to school with questions and at least some background information to do homework. The flipped classroom notion is to rethink when students have access to the materials they require the most. If the question is, rather than being introduced to the new thought behind the task, students need support, then the solution the twisting lesson takes is to reverse it.

The major goal of a flipped classroom is to promote the learning and achievement of students through the reversal of the typical model of a classroom. To achieve this, teachers will publish brief online video lectures to be viewed by students at home before the next lesson. There are some basic principles to this teaching method. The first benefit of a flipped classroom is that it creates a more participatory learning environment in the classroom. It gives students the ability to learn at their own pace. Another benefit of the flipped classroom is that it allows the instructor, who is the teacher, to personalise the course to individual student reading.

A flipped classroom has the advantage of providing more control for students. It is feasible for students to have more influence and control over their own learning. It also encourages student-centred learning and cooperation. In flipped classrooms, class time is used to master skills through collaborative projects and conversations. This promotes students to teach and learn topics from one another under the supervision of their teachers. The following are more accessible lessons and content. Students who have to skip class due to illness, sports, vacation or emergency can rapidly catch up by having video lectures available online at all times. This also provides teachers with more freedom when they are unwell, and avoids the makeup task.
I'm sure everyone has seen this logo before, right? This is Youtube, widely utilised as a data transmission platform. Now, let's talk about youtube, which is my favourite flipped classroom. Youtube may be utilised as a learning medium, not only for entertainment. I choose YouTube because students will be able to easily understand the content that the teacher wants to deliver. If students do not understand what is being presented, they can watch it again. Youtube is also a popular site nowadays, so students and teachers may learn how to use it more simply. This is also a significant benefit for students who prefer visual or audio learning because it substantially helps them in adapting the substance of the issue they want to impart. Following that, students can not only watch learning videos created by their teachers, but they can also watch learning videos created by other teachers all around the world on YouTube. Students will also be more engaged and less bored.
